VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
Invite Human Connections into your home for a hands-on exploration of life and culture in Mexico
We are excited to bring you our newest Human Connections responsible tourism experience: Virtual Workshops. These professionally filmed and edited videos offer you a unique opportunity to engage with some of our local partners in a socially responsible way from wherever you are in the world.
Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Riviera Nayarit with an intimate look at the lives and livelihoods of two of our most dynamic partners. In each Virtual Workshop, our partners give step-by-step guidance on how to recreate one of their products at home.

Farm-to-Table Cooking Workshop with Segis & Yadira
Entrepreneurs Segis and Yadira welcome us to their ranch at dawn to appreciate the natural beauty of their rural environment. Segis makes a local specialty with fresh goat’s milk and Yadira shares with us her recipe for chilaquiles, a traditional Mexican breakfast. All the while, they discuss their passion for sustainable living, their vision for their business, and their advice to other entrepreneurs. Please note that Virtual Workshops are licensed for household use only.
Included with this video is this PDF recipe card to make your own Rancho Las Parotas chilaquiles.
Apiary Visit and Soap-making with Gilari & Shamar
Entrepreneurs Gilari and Shamar discuss their trajectory from passionate salespeople to experienced store owners, all while still in their early 20s. Follow them into their apiary to witness the honey extraction process, join them in their workshop for a soap-making lesson, and be inspired by their values-centered approach to business. Please note that Virtual Workshops are licensed for household use only.
Included with this video is this PDF recipe card to make your own Honey & Oat Artisanal Soap.
The Human Connections Difference
With our Virtual Workshops, you are using your purchasing power to contribute to the economic livelihoods of our local partners. In addition to being paid fairly for their time during filming, partners receive 25% of proceeds from the sale of their respective video. The HC team has ensured that the pillars of responsible tourism — from honoring cultural heritage and inclusive decision-making to authentic exchanges and experiential education — are fully integrated into our virtual offerings.
