Solar Dehydrator Details
“This summer, interns on our Business Innovation team developed a prototype and business strategy based around a simple idea: leveraging the sun to preserve the produce that grows abundantly in the area.”
In a nutshell, the project proposed and investigated a way to build a solar dehydrator that could serve as a source of income for a local community member. They then constructed a dehydrator, tested recipes, and developed connections in the local community designed to facilitate in the sale of the dried fruit once it’s made.
